"People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.' I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds."
- Carl R. Rogers

This group moves beyond basic therapy buzzwords to provide tangible, grounded support. Connect with peers who understand the modern loneliness epidemic to untangle the guilt of redefining your ambition, learn how to set firm boundaries with aging parents, and find solid ground in an unpredictable world. Stop masking your burnout and start building real resilience.

Are you exhausted by the emotional labor of navigating a heteronormative world? Whether you are untangling compulsory heterosexuality, stepping into your identity later in life, or struggling to find solid ground in the local dating scene, you don’t have to process it alone.
This group offers a structured, confidential space to move past the exhaustion of minority stress. Together, we focus on actionable ways to build and trust your chosen family, establish healthy relationship pacing, and heal from systemic invalidation. Join a supportive network of queer women across the Washington DC metro area to transition from feeling isolated to deeply understood.
*Registration is required, please call (202) 669-4379.
Are you constantly pouring from an empty cup? If your relationships are defined by people-pleasing, chronic caretaking, and a quiet but growing resentment, it is time to shift the focus back to you.
This active, skills-based group is designed for those who subconsciously use "helping" to manage anxiety or secure love. In this live virtual setting, we will practice the exact mechanics of detaching with love, dropping the martyr complex, and setting firm boundaries without apologizing. Reclaim your identity outside of what you do for others, and learn to tolerate the discomfort of letting people manage their own lives.
*Registration is required, please call (202) 669-4379.
